Dorothy Lee Savage Knight, 94, of Wheeling, WV, died Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born April 22, 1929, daughter of the late Ben and Willie Mae Richardson Savage.
Dorothy graduated from Lincoln High School and worked at Weimer's Meat Packing Company. She was a Deaconess at Macedonia Baptist Church, a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Miriam Chapter 1 and volunteered for the Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling for several years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Knight; son, Donald Savage; brothers, Marvin, Pete, Raymond, Ben and Tee Savage; sisters, Delores, Rose and Elenora Savage; and great-grandchild, Ryley Knight.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Dee) Knight, Keith Knight, Brian Knight and Eric (Tracy) Knight; sister, Jean Aldridge; grandchildren, Kelly, Marcus, Kevin III, Kayla, Ryan (Jenn), Ashley (Shawn); great-grandchildren, Rahmil, Rahsaan, Aryn, Addei and Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM and Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 10 until the time of service at 11 AM with Pastor Tyron C. Spencer officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-232- 2732). Interment to follow in Park View Memorial Gardens.
