Helen A. Shemon, peacefully passed away on February 16, 2024, in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was born on March 13, 1924, in Wolfhurst, OH.
She was a devoted member of St. Alphonsus. Her greatest joys in life were found within her family and faith. Helen loved and cherished her children Gary Shemon of Wheeling; Chris (David) Mayernik of Sewickley, PA; and Jude (Donna) Shemon of Coraopolis, PA and her grandchildren Lauren, Mackenzie, Andrew, Claire, Daniel (Paige). She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Erma Tatar of Wheeling.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Ignatius and Stanislaus Cerep, as well as her beloved spouse, John D. Shemon, and sister, Sophie Veneskey.
A special thanks is extended to the staff of Continuous Care Center for their selfless time and devotion to caring.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
