PAGE GALLAGHER

Page William (Bill) Gallagher passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. He was born on June 21, 1939 in McMechen, WV and graduated from Union High School in 1957. He was also a proud alumnus of Marshall University where he played basketball and baseball and was president of the Sig Ep fraternity. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard where he was a deep sea diver and all-star basketball player.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Suzanne, whom he missed dearly. He was also preceded in death by his beloved parents, Page and Ernestine Gallagher, his wonderful in-laws, Jack and Mabel Henry, his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Joseph Chincheck, and nephew, Chad Henry.

Bill is survived by his two children, Page William (Billy) and Erin Gallagher Bond, and his only grandchild, Jackson Jeremiah Bond. He is also survived by nieces, Leslie (Mark) Lynch and Susan Chincheck, and brother-in-law Chris (Judy) Henry.

Bill loved living in Glen Dale and was a very involved member of the community. Organizations include the Masonic Lodge, the Shriner's, Scottish Rite and Kiwanis Club. He was the General Manager of Crone's Clothiers in Wheeling for decades. He was also a professional drummer and long-time youth baseball coach. He was a member of Glen Dale United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in the name of Suzanne Gallagher to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5-6:30 p.m. with the service to immediately follow at Grisell Funeral Home, 400 Jefferson Ave. in Moundsville.
