Robert Franklin Albert, fondly known as Bob, was a remarkable man whose presence brightened the lives of those around him. Born on September 1, 1934, in Wheeling, West Virginia, he embraced life's journey with open arms until his peaceful passing at Liza's Place on February 14, 2024, at the age of 89.
Bob's legacy will forever be remembered and cherished by his surviving family and friends. He leaves behind daughters Kelly (Jerry) Dunlap of Glen Dale, WV, and Sandra (William) McAllister of Wheeling, WV. His grandchildren, Holly Beth Thompson, Scott Garrison Jr., Anna Pettit, Megan McAllister, Kendall (Austin Cain) McCombs, and Jared Dunlap, brought immense joy to his life. Similarly, his great-grandchildren, Makayla, Blayne, Aaralyn, Axton, Aryah, Abel, Chandler, Colt, and Emeri, will always hold a special place in their hearts for their dearly missed Pap.
Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan Burge Albert, as well as his parents, Ray and Anna Jean Albert, and sister Carolyn Lee Allen of Greensburg, PA.
A visitation to honor and remember Bob will take place on Monday, February 19th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Homes on 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV 26041.
On Tuesday, February 20th, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the First Christian Church of Moundsville at 11:00 a.m., followed by a procession to Halcyon Hills Memorial Park.
