RONALD CUNNINGHAM

Ronald Cunningham, 83, of Keyser, WV, entered into Heaven on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Born on February 9, 1940 in Benwood, WV, he was a son of the late Herman and Alice (Beever) Cunningham. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Janet M. (Warfel) Cunningham on June 24, 2011; his twin brother, Donald Cunningham; two other brothers, Earl and Melvin Cunningham and two sisters, Marcella Cunningham and Jacqueline Sonnewald.

Mr. Cunninghman was a 1958 graduate of Union High School in Benwood, WV. He was employed by the B & O and CSX Railroads, retiring after 43 years of service. He served in both the United States Coast Guard and the United States Navy and was a member of Boyce-Houser Post # 41, American Legion, Keyser and Post # 7472, VFW in Ellicott City, MD and part of the congregation at Trinity Lutheran Church. Ron loved collecting knives and was a member of the Mason-Dixon Knife Club, the National Knife Collectors Association and the National Rifle Association.

Surviving are his children, Renee Hahn and husband Chris of Willow Springs, NC and Tim Cunningham and wife Jodi of Moundsville, WV; two grandchildren, Matthew Douglas and Christopher Hahn, several nieces and nephews and his beloved granddogs.

Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sally L. Bartling officiating.

Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser. Graveside military honors will be accorded.
