Russell Evan Rogerson, 77, of Harrisville, WV, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 12, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Russell was born May 16, 1946 in Moundsville, WV only son of the late Evan Montgomery and Elizabeth (Root) Rogerson.
Russell graduated as the Valedictorian from Moundsville High School with the class of 1964. Russell went on to attend West Virginia University where he earned a double bachelor's degree in math and music education. While in college, Russell was a proud member of "the Pride of West Virginia" where he played clarinet.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Bartz) Rogerson; his daughter, Robin Shea Rogerson (Brian Hayhurst) of Parkersburg, WV; his son, Michael French Robinson (Amber) of Moundsville, WV; his sister, Beth Ann Rogerson Mitchell (Mark) of Moundsville, WV.
Funeral services were held by the Raiguel Funeral Home in Harrisville, WV. In accordance with Russell's wishes he will be cremated and laid to rest on the family plot in Moundsville, WV, at the convenience of the family.
