Delbert Glen "Deb" Gray, 81, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV. He was born on June 9, 1942. Deb, a retired coal miner with 30 years of dedicated service in the industry, was also a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force.
Beloved by family and friends, Deb was an avid outdoorsman and a devoted family man. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Deb is preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel (Cook) Gray; sons, Greg and Leonard Gray; siblings, Kenny and Butch Gray, Jane Richmond, Barbara Gray, and Gaye Orum; grandson, Mark Gray; and daughter-in-law, Monica Gray.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Gatts) Gray; children, Delbert (Julie) Gray, Jr., Jerry (Heather) Gray, Norman (Theresa) Fonner, and Cindie McGlumphy; daughters-in-law, Annette Gray and Kellie Gray; siblings, Mona (Donnie) Morris, Jim (Judy) Gray, and Linda Ann (Leonard) Linzy; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
A visitation for Deb will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2-6pm, with a Funeral Service following at 6pm. The service will be officiated by Pastor Mary Ann Nolte at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, located at 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV.
