Dorothy (Pelley) Parker, 80, of Moundsville, WV passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her adoring family.
Dorothy, lovingly known as Dort, was born to the late Lester and Garnet (Furbee) Pelley in Glen Dale, WV on November 2, 1943. Dort was a 1961 graduate of Moundsville High School. She enjoyed keeping records for her class and participating and helping to organize the class reunions. She was an active member of the former Moundsville Eagles, Elm Grove Eagles, Moundsville VFW and the Moundsville American Legion. Dort was full of life and enjoyed dancing, especially with her friends, Dean and Pat McDougal. Dorothy had a talent for decorating and enjoyed decorating her home inside and out for every holiday. She was a great mother who made time to have fun with her children. In younger years, she would load the neighborhood kids up in the truck for a fun day at the pool. People and relationships were important to her.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her siblings, Lester Pelley, Jr, Beverly Francis, and Janet Redd.
Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy is her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Tom Parker, her children, Ed Parker of Moundsville, WV and Doug (Debbie) Parker of Warwood, WV as well as her cherished grandson, Tanner.
Dortothy was the reason our house was a home. She will forever be in our hearts.
