Joseph Clayton Parish, 98, of New Martinsville, WV was reunited with his wife, Helen (Cain) Parish on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Joe was born June 28, 1925, in Hundred, WV son of the late William R. and Elizabeth A. (Sims) Parish.
He was a retired employee of PPG Industries with thirty-seven- years, former employee of Mobay/Bayer, member of the Moundsville Country Club, avid turkey, deer and squirrel hunter, one of the last Wetzel County World War II veterans of the Army Air Corp, 8th Air Force, 351st Bomb Group, Polebrooke, England, a graduate of Hundred High School Class of 1943, enjoyed being part of the McDonald's Gang where they drank coffee and told stories, member of New Martinsville Moose Lodge No. 931 and attended the Steelton Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen McGhee, Fran Davis, Ruth Keenan and Bill Parish.
Survived by daughter, Linda (Scott) Hill of New Martinsville, WV; two sons, Doug (Linda) Parish of Lima, OH and Brian (Roz) Parish of Plain City, OH; grandchildren, Matt (Kristina) Parish of Nashville, TN, Ashley (Kevin) Heilers of St. Marys, OH, Dr. Patrick (Victoria) Hill of Manhattan Beach, CA, Allison (Jacob) Flanders of St. Thomas, USVI and Meredith (Grant) Goodwin of Hilliard, OH; great grandchildren, Sam, Lydia and Isaac Heilers, Marsden Parish and James Joseph "JJ" Hill and several special nieces and nephews.
Friends received noon-5 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where service will be held 2:30 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2024 with Ed Mellott officiating. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
