MARY CHIAZZA

Mary Jane Chiazza, 94, sadly passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home in Overbrook, Wheeling. She was born June 20, 1929, in Wheeling WV, the daughter of the late Theodore Felix and Lily Mae (McIntire) Felix.

Mary was co-owner of Tony's shoe shop, formerly located in Elm Grove; a caregiver for children; and a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed memberships with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Anthony J. Chiazza, whom she joins in the kingdom of heaven, and siblings Theodore "Trat" Felix, Manuel "Noel" Felix, George Felix, Christina Felix Webb, and Anna Felix Rosemeier. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Patrick Clutter.

She is survived by her children Paul Chiazza (Jackie) of Wheeling, Maryann Kuhl of Wheeling, and Angie Clutter of Wheeling; her grandchildren Lisa Mullin (Marcus), Crissy Clutter (Logen Kanngiesser), Kelly Clutter, Tony Chiazza (Lydia), and Patrick Clutter; her great-grandchildren Grady, Owen, and Lillian Mullin; Hudson Ager; Carmella Chiazza; and Sophia Kanngiesser; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Mary is also survived by many neighbors and friends including her loyal porch group.

Friends and family will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Homes-Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV, on Tuesday April 2, from 10:00 am-11:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Carlos L. Melocoton, Jr., will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday April 2, at 12:00 pm followed by interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling.
