Melvin "Mel" Eugene Larese, 79, of Triadelphia, WV, died Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
He was born May 7, 1944, son of the late John and Artie Myers Larese.
Mel was a U.S. Army Reservist, retired from Kroger after 40 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an amazing woodworker and an avid baseball player. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and WVU.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Nelson (Carol) Larese; sister, Donna (Jim) Daily; and nephew, Nelson Larese Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Tim) Sheahan; granddaughter, Allison (Mitch Oats) Hawley; niece, Jan (Ray) Thomas; nephew, Mark (Jean Ann) Larese; and several great nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Monday, March 4, 2024 from 2 PM until the time of service at 6 PM with Pastor Mike Palmer officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-242-2311).
Private entombment will be held in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Colerain, OH.
