Anna Mae Veronis Holliday, 91, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Liza's Place.
She was born on June 16, 1932, in Moundsville, a daughter of the late John Joseph and Mary Ann (Kruslyak) Journey. Anna was a devout member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a founding member of their Pierogi Group.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ludgwig R. Veronis; her second husband, James Holliday; her siblings, John Journey, Betty Lou Kimple and Rosemary Franklin; one grandson, John Michael Veronis; and one granddaughter, Catrina Williamson.
Anna Mae is survived by her three children, Michael (Connie) Veronis, Mary Catherine (Joseph) Lucas and Christina Williamson; six grandchildren, Beth Ann Veronis, Jill Lyn Dille, Alicia Rogerson, Melissa Coffield, Chad (Ashley) Lucas and Jimmy (Jackie) Williamson; great- grandchildren Whitney, Masyn, Jacob, Dalton, Joseph and Jimmy and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
