McLaughlin, David Joseph, 52, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at his home.
He was born June 10, 1971, in Wheeling, WV, son of Henry Joseph McLaughlin, Sr. and the late Janice Lee Randolph McLaughlin.
David was a senior instrument & electrical technician for Williams Energy, Moundsville, WV, a Lutheran by faith, and a member of the Masonic Wheeling Lodge #5 A.F. & A.M.
David was an avid fisherman, antique car enthusiast, model train collector, and loved going to the beach & ocean. He was a loving family man who was honorable, loyal & patient. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Joyce Ann Knecht.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Melissa Lynn McLaughlin; two sons, Rhyan Joseph McLaughlin & Patryck Michael (Maegan Curran) McLaughlin; two brothers, Henry Joseph (Nancy) McLaughlin, Jr. & Kenneth Joseph (Kim) McLaughlin; special friends, Donna McAfee, Kolby Eisenhauer, and Debbie & Robert Leech; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and his dogs, Maxx & Posie.
Friends will be received Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 12-3 & 5-8 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) where services will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11 AM with Rev. Michael Rowe officiating. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery where the Wheeling Lodge #5 A.F. & A.M. will conduct a Masonic graveside service. A luncheon will follow interment at the Elm Grove Civics.
