Joseph L. Goddard, 86, of Moundsville, died Saturday, April 13, 2024,at home.
He was born April 25, 1937, the son of the late Joseph H. and Mary Marie Furbee Goddard.
Joe was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army; coal miner for Consol-Ireland Mine; and tinkered for a hobby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol S. Goddard; one sister, Louella Terrill; and one brother, Donald Goddard.
Survivors include four children, Jerry (Colleen) Goddard, Christine (Jimmy) Holcomb, Penny (Joe) Jacobs, Mickey (Melinda) Goddard; 10 grandchildren, Theresa West, Derek Higgins, Joey Goddard, Leland Sullivan, Turner Jacobs, Katie Whiddon, Jerrilynn Moore, Mickey Goddard, David Goddard, Natalee Goddard; nine great-grandchildren, Haley, Jacob, Julian, Elaine, Danielle, Brylee, Maverick, Callie, and Isabella; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, with the Moundsville Honor Guard conducting Military services.
