Judy Beckley, 78, of Moundsville, WV, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 12, 1946, in Glen Dale, WV, a daughter of the late Henry and Jesse Markley. Judy was blessed to have been adopted at the age of 4 by two wonderful parents, the late Bruce and Essie Richmond, after her birth mother was tragically killed in a car accident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Galen Beckley (whom she missed deeply over the past 12 years) and several adoptive siblings.
Judy is survived by her children, Bart (Debbie) Beckley of Parkersburg, WV, Lance Beckley (Tracey) of Fairmont, WV, Corinna Beckley of Powhatan Point, OH, and Tonya (Nathan) Lehman of Powhatan Point, OH, her grandchildren: Cory Fleming, Taylor Beckley, Brett Beckley, Samantha Fouty, Jacen Beckley, Christian Beckley, and Charlie Fouty, and her great-grandchildren: Cale Varney, Kyrie Fleming, and Demi Fleming.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Altmeyer Funeral Home at 118 Grant Avenue in Moundsville, WV.
Friends and family are welcome to visit on Monday, April 8 from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 9, from noon to 1 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will be held immediately following at Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Lands UMC, 242 Frontage Drive, Moundsville, WV 26041.
