Robert "2 Bobs" Earl Roberts, age 90, of Moundsville, WV died Sunday, April 21, 2024 in Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside, OH.
He was born February 20, 1934 in Marshall County, WV the son of the late John Earl and Ila Jones Roberts.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran; a retired employee from the former Bayer Chemical Plant; a member of Calvary United Methodist Church; a former Bee Keeper; and he loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, and flowers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Olenick and Ruth Ann Kerchusky.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Carolyn Francis Roberts; two daughters, Sharon Roberts (Michael) Kuzma of Powhatan, OH, and Rachelle (Vince) Thornburg of Bellaire, OH; three grandchildren, Janette (Matt) Corwin, Dr. Zane Thornburg, and Jacob Thornburg; a great-grandson, Kace Corwin; a sister, Mary Lee Rine of Moundsville; a brother, John Daniel (Marsha) Roberts of Proctor, WV; a special sister-in-law, Margi Francis; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where funeral services will be held Friday at 11am with Pastor Michael Rowe officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
