Violet Florence Stinoski, 101 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Weirton Geriatric Center.
She was born on February 26, 1923, in Follansbee, WV, a daughter of the late Nunzio and Christina (D'Aurora) Tacozza.
In addition to her parents Violet is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Stinoski, Sr.; two brothers, Tony, and Dan Tacozza; and two sisters, Helen Allen, and Mariann Tacozza.
Violet graduated from Follansbee High School Class of 1941 and was a member of the Community of Christ Church of Wellsburg, WV. She was a homemaker.
Violet is survived by her only son, John E. (Jeannie) Stinoski, Jr. of Follansbee, WV two grandsons, Matthew (Christy) Stinoski of Morgantown, WV, Ryan (Christine) Stinoski of Mechanicsburg, PA; and two great grandchildren, Mattea and Mia Stinoski; several nieces, neph- ews, and cousins.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Joy Leasure officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.
The family would like to thank Dr. Saieed, the staff at Weirton Geriatric Center, and Scott Roach at Valley Hospice for all the care they gave Violet over the last few years.
