Virginia Geraldine Lonon, 86, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Wheeling Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1937, in Princeton, WV, a daughter of the late Gerald and Kansas Stone. She was Methodist by faith, worked for many years for Wonder Bakery and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her children, Patricia (Arthur) Weisel, James (Barbara) Grimmett, Debra Grimmett and Robert (Beverly) Grimmett; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Lonon; a son, Michael Grimmett; a daughter, Cathy Grimmett; and two brothers, Frank, and Harold Stone.
Friends may call Thursday from 11-1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Pastor James Hoff officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
