Anne Christine Estep Griffith was born July 25, 1960 in Wheeling, WV and passed away on May 8, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.
Anne was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. Anne was an active member of West Liberty Federated Church and West Liberty Lions Club and a retired elementary teacher.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence C. Estep and Norma V. Bett Estep of Wheeling and much loved mother-in-law, Barbara Sapp Griffith of West Liberty. She is survived by one sister, Mary (Randy) West of Hopedale, OH and two brothers of Wheeling, John (Lydia) Estep and Paul (Tracy) Estep.
In addition to her husband Mark of West Liberty, Anne is survived by three children whom she loved dearly, Christine Griffith (Jennifer), Jeremy Griffith (Christy Conaway) and (Samantha Fordyce), and Katie Fluharty (Clay) and was "Nonnie" to six grandsons that were her life, Ikie Lane and Lawson Fluharty and Chaise, Mason, Xavier and Ashton Griffith.
Anne adored her grandkids as well as her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the most loving, caring, giving, and generous person and deeply rooted in her faith. She was always willing to help those in need and she was an inspiration and role model to all who knew her.
Friends and family will be received Monday, May 13, 2024 from 12 – 3 PM and 5 – 8 PM at West Liberty Federated Church, 557 Van Meter Way, Wheeling, WV 26003 and on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Rev. Debra Dague officiating.
