Glenn "Gorky" Gorczyca, age 73, of Wheeling, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at his home.
He was born June 30, 1950, in Wheeling, the son of the late Walter and Eleanore Malarski Gorczyca.
Glenn was a 1968 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a retired craneman for Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel. He was member of the P.A.P Club where he bowled and played softball. He was a Christian by Faith.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and his cat Callie.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Dickson and two brothers, Gary and Gregory Gorczyca.
Survivors include his wife Jane Gorczyca; two daughters, Michelle (Tim) Ryder of St. Clairsville, OH and Jennifer (Mark) Dietz of Beavercreek, OH; one step-daughter, Janel (Joe) Armstrong of Wheeling; step-son, Matthew (Carrie) Taylor of Wheeling; seven grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Maddie, Carson, Colin, Camryn, and Hudson; and several nieces; nephews and cousins.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
