Robert (“Bob") Edward Klinkler, 82, of Wheeling passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Bob was born in Wheeling, WV on August 11, 1941, son of the late Robert G. and Margaret (Crouse) Klinkler.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Linda.
He is survived by his daughter Christy (David) Clark, brother Wayne (Gail) Klinkler, brother Ken (Laura) Klinkler, sister Sue Burns, and nieces Allison (Andrew Buchholz) Strupczewski and Angel Behrens.
Bob was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Upon graduation Bob worked with Drs. Ed Joseph and Bill Grubler to develop his skills as a craftsman of dental crowns, bridges, and partials. He later grew his skillset to include orthodontics and founded Ortho Lab Services, which provided retainers, study models, and other accessories to orthodontists throughout the Ohio Valley until 2019. In addition, Bob served as the in-house dental technician for the Grubler family of dentists for 61 years.
Bob was a gentle soul who loved his family, his friends, and animals (including Wheeling legend Spunky the Rabbit.) While he was a quiet guy, Bob had a wicked sense of humor and a talent for a well-placed one-liner. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
