Shirley Jean Moore, age 78 of Moundsville, WV died Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV.
She was born July 16, 1945 in Greenbrier County, WV, the daughter of the late Fred and Ruby Booth McFerrin.
She was the owner/operator of Hidden Valley Stables and +-Sharney Horses Tack; a member of Wayman's Ridge United Methodist Church; and she loved her family and friends, horses, and her dogs, Bear and Drifter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred "Louise" Minear.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, David G. Moore; two children, Chelsea L. McLaughlin of Weston, WV and Adam (Lindsay Short) Moore of Jane Lew, WV; six grandchildren, Anna, Hank, Beau, Waylon Jack, Levi and Maci; a niece, Kandy (Anthony)Blatt; great-nephew, Corey (Jenn Crow) Blatt; great-great nieces and nephews, Autumn, Colby and McKenzie; and sisters-in-law, Carol Hull, Marilyn South and Susan (Paul) Aston.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8pm and Friday from 12noon until time of Funeral Service at 1pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville with Rev. Ray Klages officiating.
Interment in Limestone Cemetery, Moundsville.
