Wilber Lewis Riddle Jr., age 71, of Proctor, WV died Thursday, May 2, 2024 in WVU Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
He was born December 5, 1952 in Johnstown, PA the son of the late Wilber Lewis, Sr. and Rose Stetz Riddle.
He was a retired coal miner from McElroy Mine, having worked for 40 years; a Catholic by faith; a member of UMWA Local #1638; a volunteer fireman with the Roberts Ridge Volunteer Fire Dept.; and he loved to hunt and ride motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Martha Stetz and Mabel and William Tallman.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Riddle; two sons, Michael (Rebecca) Riddle of Moundville and Greg (Tina) Riddle of Proctor; two sisters, Sandy (Paul) Whitt and Kathy (Ray) Minor, all of Proctor; a brother, John Riddle of Clarksburg, WV; two granddaughters, Brianna (Jesse) Hudson of Powhatan, OH and Elizabeth Riddle of Moundsville; two great-granddaughters, Olivia Feil and Ako Hudson; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Saturday from 3-6pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville.
Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
