Daniel Zapolnik, affectionately known as Dan, passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 4, 2024, at Trinity West ER.
Dan proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps before embarking on a career as a Lineman with Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, where he retired after many years of dedicated service.
Dan is predeceased by his wife Joan Bartemes Zapolnik. He is survived by his children Daniel (Terri) Zapolnik and daughter Dana (Mike) Murphy.
Visitation will be held Friday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fr. Tim Huffman will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a vigil service at 3 pm Friday.
