Dorothy "Dottie" Carol Junkins Wagenheim, age 82, of Mountain Lakes, NJ and formerly of Clearwater, FL and Wheeling (Bethlehem) WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Dottie was born in Wheeling, WV on March 27, 1942, the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Lillian M. Junkins formerly of Dunedin, FL, and Wheeling (Bethlehem) WV.
Dottie was a graduate of Triadelphia High School and attended Bethany College where she received her associate's degree. She then received her LPN certification from the B.M. Spurr School of Practical Nursing at Glen Dale Hospital, WV. She furthered her nursing education by receiving her associate in science degree in nursing (ASN) and RN designation from St. Petersburg College, Clearwater, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter; Lisa Marie Winkel in 2005, and her sister Jean Marie Hagan in 2015.
Survivors include her daughter; Kristin L. (Duane) Coda and grandson; Emerson Coda all from Mountain Lakes, NJ, one brother; Don (Janie) Junkins of Bethlehem and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dottie cherished her daughters, grandson, and family, and her German shepherd dogs. She was a life-long Christian and had an unwavering faith in God. Her caretakers at her nursing home loved her dearly and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her and especially by her eldest daughter, who had the privilege of helping to care for her.
Family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 11am until time of service at 1pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory 1 Ridgecrest Road Bethlehem/ Wheeling with Rev. Debra Dague officiating.
Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
