KENNETH HAUGHT
Kenneth L. Haught, 90, of New Martinsville, WV died Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born October 25, 1933, in New Martinsville, WV son of the late Clinton U. and Jessie Mae (Minger) Haught.
He graduated Valedictorian from Tyler County High School with the Class of 1951. Kenny retired from the former Ormet Corp. as a Maintenance Foreman with thirty-eight years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, member of Wetzel Lodge No. 39 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite of Wheeling, Loyal Order of the Moose No. 931 and Osiris Shriners, he attended San Diego State University where he played quarterback for the Aztec Football team.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Lloyd, Harold, Leo, John and Jerry Haught and two sisters, Hazel Karcher and Roxie Davis.
Surviving is his wife of sixty-eight years, Shirley (Cozart) Haught; son, Robert (Gail) Haught of New Martinsville, WV, two daughters, Lori (Scott) Heintz of Moundsville, WV and Jody Price of New Martinsville, WV; two grandsons, Matthew (Lindsay) Haught of Phoenix and Connor Price of New Martinsville; great grandson, Logan Haught and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received noon – 3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the Jarvis Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville. Private burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park to be held at the convenience of the family.
