LOUIS PASTORIA
								With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Louis J. Pastoria, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He passed away peacefully at the age of 77 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV, on June 21, 2024.
Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, on September 17, 1946, Lou brought light and love to all who knew him. His journey through life was marked by dedication and warmth. As a longtime sales manager for Contract Business Interiors, Lou demonstrated unwavering commitment and integrity in his professional life, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Lou lived a life of service and community involvement, exemplified by his membership with the Wildlife League of Ohio County. Through his work and community service, he left an indelible mark on many lives. His legacy will be cherished and remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pauline (Ciripompa) Pastoria; his Aunt Mary Ciripompa, who was like a second mother to him; and his parents-in-law, Alan and Anne Young.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Diane (Young) Pastoria; his children, Heather Simonetti, Jaime (William) McIlvain, and Jason (Jennifer) Pastoria; his sister, Louise Gray; and his grandchildren, Luke and Will Simonetti, and Michael and Samuel Pastoria. Lou is also survived by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, his loyal dog “K.C.”, and many friends.
Special recognition goes to his sister-in-law and nurse practitioner, Pam Corder LaHood, and the entire staff at Liza’s Place, whose compassionate care provided Lou with comfort in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV, where visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 2-8 p.m., including a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. A service to honor Lou’s life will be held with entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Garden Mausoleum on Tuesday, June 25 at 11 a.m.
In this time of loss, let us remember and celebrate the life of Louis J. Pastoria, whose spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him. His journey was one of love, dedication, and community, and he leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness and strength.
