ROXIE PATTERSON

Roxie Maxine Patterson, 94, of Triadelphia, WV, died Friday, June 14, 2024, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Roxie was born on September 28, 1929, in Triadelphia, WV, the daughter of the late Homer & Viola Catlett and the oldest of 15 children. She graduated from Triadelphia High School, where she was a proud member of the Home Economics Club and sang in the Triadelphia United Methodist Church choir.

A dedicated homemaker her entire life, Roxie married the late William Patterson, Sr. in the summer of 1948 and had three children: William Patterson, Jr. of Valley Grove, Sharon Auber of Wheeling, and David Patterson of Triadelphia.

Roxie was also a beloved grandmother to five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She taught many children at Triadelphia UMC as a long-time Sunday School teacher.

Independent until the end, Roxie continued to care for the home and flowers she loved in her final days.

She will be missed by her friends, family, and the Triadelphia community she called home for 94 years.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 11am until the time of service at 1pm, at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311), with Pastor Gary Rankin officiating. Interment to follow at Park View Memorial Gardens.
