Theresa Regina Hohman Hunt, 97, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away Friday. May 31, 2024, at Wetzel County Hospital New Martinsville, WV.
She was born May 3, 1927, in Silver Hill, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence and Clara Blatt Hohman.
She grew up in the St. Joseph Settlement from the age of 6, was a homemaker and former medical secretary and stenographer. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church New Martinsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Hunt in 2012; infant daughter, Lucy Clara Hunt in 1960; three infant brothers, Albert, Andrew, and Charles Hohman; two sisters, Monica (Fred) Rusk and Genevieve (George) Anderson; and two brothers, Gerald and Paul (Catherine) Hohman and grandson, John E. Hunt.
Survivors include children, John Paul Hunt of New Martinsville, WV, Rebecca (Paul) Seaman of NJ; Charles (Christine) Hunt of Cleveland, OH; Patricia Ann (Dr. Nadeem) Haq of NY and Karen (Steve) Szewczyk of VA; sister, Catherine (Bob) Montgomery of Martinsburg, WV; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday June 4, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV, with Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 11:00 am St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church 21 Rosary Road New Martinsville, with Msgr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery New Martinsville, WV.
