Elizabeth Rose Smith Hissam, 84, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at home.
She was born October 26, 1939, daughter of the late Ernest and Rose Cefus Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry and Art Smith and Mike Long; and four sisters-in-law, Pat Smith, Goldie Long, Susan Michael and Marilyn Long.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise DeGarmo of Wellsburg, WV; three granddaughters, Melissa Childers of Casper, WY, Toni Richmond of Martins Ferry, OH and Shari Richmond of Cameron, WV; four great-grandchildren, Madisyn Childers, Miles Childers, Jr. and McKenzie Childers, all of Casper, WY and Riley Simms of Cameron, WV; brother, Edward Long; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Per Betty's request, there was no visitation. Interment in Parkview Memorial Gardens and services with Ed Long officiating were held at the convenience of the family.
