Charles "Chuck" DeBeni, age 94 of Wheeling, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at home.
He was born March 1, 1930 in Wheeling, son of the late Charles and Lavina DeBeni
Charles was a retired ceramic tile brick layer with the brick layers union. He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling the Forrester Club, Bridgeport, OH and a US Army veteran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Davis DeBeni; two sons: Joseph "Joe" and Derrick DeBeni; two sisters: Mary Miller and Bertha DeBeni; two brothers: John and Charles DeBeni and a daughter-in-law: Jackie DeBeni.
Survivors include one daughter: Clara (Junior) Weed of Wheeling; three sons: James (Mary Kay) DeBeni of Wheeling, Christopher DeBeni of Indio, CA and Rick (Khelli) DeBeni of Bridgeport, OH; daughter-in-law: Marlene Kay DeBeni of Wheeling; 5 grandchildren: Craig (Christina) DeBeni of Dayton, OH, Torrie (Bailey) Davis of Benwood, Lauren DeBeni of Wheeling, Heidi (Audra) Combs of Flushing, OH and Joshua (Kevin) DeBeni of Wilmington, NC; 9 great-grandchildren: Jennica, Derrick, Jaxson, Dominic, Logan, Katie, T.J., Lilly and Caylee and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling.
Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
