Martin Andrew "Marty" Churilla, 87, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Saturday July 27, 2024, at Liza's Place.
He was born October 17, 1936, to Andrew and Lucille Churilla in Canonsburg, Pa.
Marty had several careers: serving in the US Air Force, as a pharmaceutical representative, and as Sales Manager for Herman Miller and HON companies.
Marty is survived by sons Mark (Jeanine Pollard) Churilla and David (Kimberly) Churilla, four grandchildren: Courtney, Austin, Abbigail, and Andrew; sister-in-law Polly Churilla; brother Ronald (Karen) Churilla; and several nieces, nephews and granddogs. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mickey Churilla and brother Rich Churilla.
He was a devoted volunteer at WVU Medicine, and a member of the Wheeling Hill Hoppers and St. Michael Catholic Church.
He loved competing in and teaching tennis to all ages in the Bubble at Wheeling Park, flying remote control aircraft, and enjoying a glass of wine with his wife on the deck.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on August 1, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church at 1225 National Road, Wheeling, WV at 11:00 AM with Fr. Carlos Melocoton, Jr. as celebrant.
