Donna Lee Wheeler Rice, 85, of Wheeling, WV, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
She was born July 5, 1939, in Beech Bottom, WV, daughter of the late Telford Wheeler and Virginia Watson Taylor.
Donna was a member of the Island Christian Church. She loved her grandchildren and watching football and baseball; especially the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lawrance Raymond Rice; and sisters, Shirley Kershey and Dorcas Criswell.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Raymond Lawrence Rice; children, Terrance (Lori) Rice, Sally (Christopher) Horn and Christine (Theo) Maguire, all of Wheeling; four grandsons, Scott (Melinda) Maguire, Michael (Lynn) Maguire, Tyler Rice and Timothy Horn; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM with Rev. Kenneth Hardway and Pastor Mark Mayer officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311).
Interment to follow in Parkview Memorial Gardens.
