Doris Eileen Henthorn, 91 of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, at home with her family by her side.
She was born on September 28, 1932, in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Burt E. and Ocy (Tredway) Hunt, Sr. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Henthorn; two grandchildren, Jonathon and Michelle Lemasters; one brother, Burt E. Hunt, Jr; and an infant sister, Alice Faye.
She was a member of the Wellsburg Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, and cooking for her friends and family. Most of all she loved having get-togethers with her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband Homer Henthorn at home; two sons, Bruce (Darlene) Henthorn and Chris (June) Henthorn both of Wellsburg, WV; three siblings, Elizabeth Belle of Statesville, NC, Bernard Hunt of Wellsburg, WV, Donna Cionni of Smithfield, OH; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation for Doris will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and again on Saturday August 24th from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am with Evangelist Vernon Teagarden officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in Beech Bottom, WV.
