EMILY KIMPEL

Emily "Emmy" Christine Kimpel, 30, of Wheeling WV died on Sunday, August 18th 2024. Her final days were spent in Peterson Rehabilitation Center.

Emily was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Jennifer Lee Wolf Kimpel and Father Tim William Kimpel.

Emily graduated at Wheeling Park High School class of 2012, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Ohio County Chorus, and Art club. She was a member of Elm Grove United Methodist

Church where she was active in Mission Maniacs, assisted with Vacation Bible School, and also helped out at church dinner functions. Emily's days were occupied by volunteering help at the Soup Kitchen, public library, and by offering classroom help in various school aid activities.

Emily carried a passion for handmade crafts. She became a skilled crafter that mostly enjoyed working with yarn and potholders. There was never a time she didn't keep herself busy. Emily was a huge pet lover and had two cats of her own.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jennifer Wolfe Kimpel, her uncle Tom Hildebrant, and her grandparents, Edward and Martha Kimpel, and Dean Wolfe.

Surviving Emily are her father Tim Kimpel, her brother Chad (Heidi) Kimpel, her brother Ben (Amanda) Kimpel, her Uncle Bob (Amber) Wolfe, Aunt Christy (Mike) Wade, Aunt Cindy Hildebrant, her grandmother Frances Wolfe, Uncle Todd (Joyce) Kimpel, Uncle Ted (Pattie) Kimpel, Aunt Trudy (Jim) Singletary, and many loving cousins, niece, and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to the excellent care of Nationwide Children's Hospital during her early stages of clinical care, and the outstanding staff at Valley Hospice, Liza's Place, and Peterson Rehabilitation Center, the care provided to Emily eased her passing and brought comfort to the entire family.

Friends of Emily will be received on Friday August 23rd, 2024 from 1pm-4pm and 5pm-8pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling WV, 26003 (304)-242-2311.

Friends will also be received on Saturday August 24th 2024 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11AM at Elm Grove United Methodist Church, 125 Kruger St., Wheeling with the beloved Pastor Debora Dague, and steadfast hospice Chaplain, Michael Rowe with interment at Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elm Grove United Methodist Church.
