Nancy Ann Endrizzi (67) of Wheeling died on August 4, 2024 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
Born September 4, 1956 in Parkersburg, WV, daughter of the late Nick Endrizzi, DVM and Ann (Mahoney) Endrizzi. She attended Parkersburg Catholic High School then WVU where she graduated with a degree in Medical Technology. She worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at the WVU Medical Center, then in the offices of Drs. Giustini and Keefer in Wheeling. She was active for years in the state chapter of the American Society for Medical Technology, published a newsletter for the state chapter, helped coordinate state conferences for several years and served as President of the chapter.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband Rex Lasure, MD, her children, Gina Lasure (husband Russell Swiler), Ben Lasure, MD (wife Shanda), and Nick Lasure. Also surviving are grandchildren Evelyn and Rosalind Lasure and Leon Swiler. Her siblings are living: Mike Endrizzi, DVM, Kathy Endrizzi, Mary Wright and Emma O'Leary. Several cherished nieces and nephews as well as very close friends remain to remember her.
Nancy was quite creative and adept at crafts and fabric arts. Her greatest creativity, though, was in raising her children and maintaining her many dear friendships. She was a lifelong devout Catholic, a member of St. Michael Parish in Wheeling where she was in Christian Mothers and participated in various activities including organizing and serving funeral lunches. Until afflicted with early onset dementia she was a brilliant, artistic, funny, organized and complex woman, independent thinking, dedicated to her family, a profoundly capable medical professional and a loving friend.
Friends received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM with Holy Rosary at 7:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Michael Parish Church 11 AM on Thursday, August 8, 2024 and interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will follow at the St. Michael Parish Angelus Center.
