Wendy L. (Swauger) Riding, 75, of Glen Dale passed away on Thursday August 15, 2024 at home.
She was born in Wheeling on August 15, 1949, daughter of the late Ray & Pearl (Burley) Swauger Sr.
Wendy worked at Altenheim in Wheeling, was a Christian by faith and a member of Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Ray Swauger, Jr.; sisters, Delores (Swauger) Turner, Madelyn (Swauger) Crupe; brother-in-law, Comer Turner; niece, Cathy L. (Toland) Taylor; nephew, John W. Toland and sister-in-law, Joyce (Dean) Riding.
Wendy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dan "George" Riding; daughters, Karen (Rick) Warner, of Wheeling, and Lisa M. Riding; grandchildren, Scott D. Thomas, Kelsey Thomas, Alexis Williams, Aubree Williams, Reagan Warner, Destany C. Groves; sister, Edie Proger, nephew A.J. Proger and niece, Donna Wachter.
Friends will be received on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242- 2311) where services will be held on Monday August 19, 2024 at 10:30 am.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
