Jane McLean, 97, passed away peacefully August 27, 2024 in Dublin, Ohio.
She was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She attended Ripon College (WI), where she met her husband and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English and French (1948).
Roger and jane McLean were married in 1949 and raised 4 children as his career took them to West Allis, WI and Wheeling, WV. In 2008 they returned to Friendship Village in Dublin, OH-a community they loved and benefited from immensely.
Jane had a life-long commitment to her Christian faith and the Presbyterian Church, carrying responsibilities at congregational, Presbytery and Synod levels. She participated actively with League of Women Voters and the Embroiderers Guild of America. She was passionate about parenting, reading, music, needlework, civic participation and travel. She and Roger traveled extensively in the US and abroad and managed to visit all 7 continents. Jane's husband of 66 years, Roger McLean died in 2015. Her oldest son (Reid Mc Lean) and his wife (Brigid McDoonough) also preceded her in death.
Jane is survived by the families of her 3 children: Dave and Patty McLean (FL), Joanne and Scott Winters (WV) and Carol and Steve Lukaczer (DC). She will be missed by her 8 grandchildren and their families, which include 5 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Friendship Village in Dublin, OH on Saturday October 5, 2024 at 2:00PM.
