Jay H. Bringman, 78, of Wheeling, West Virginia, died Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Milton Nursing and Rehab Center, PA where he resided for the past two years.
Born December 16, 1945 in Wheeling, he was a son of the late Edward and Katherine (Lavey) Bringman. On June 20, 1967 he married the former Cheryl Becker. She preceded him in death Feb. 17, 2022. Together they celebrated 54 years of marriage.
Jay was a 1963 graduate of Wheeling High School. He worked as a pipefitter for many years before retiring and was a member of the Plumbers and SteamFitters Local Union 83.
A Catholic by faith, Jay was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Wheeling, where he also belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jay J. and Angela J. Bringman, of Lewisburg, PA; and seven grandchildren, Samuel, Sophia, Stella, Solomon, Scarlett, Soraya and Seth.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Abigail Lynn Bringman and two brothers, Conrad and Peter Bringman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 690 Mt. Olivet Road, Wheeling, WV on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
Burial will follow in Belmont County Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, OH.
