Roger W. Long, 83, born on May 19, 1941, in Glen Dale, WV passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, at Shadyside Care Center in Shadyside, OH.
Roger dedicated his professional life to his work as a longtime Assembly Fitter at Mull Machine in Wheeling, WV from which he eventually retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Rosella (Garvonic) Long; his beloved wife, Linda (Cooper) Long; and his daughter, Rhonda Siburt.
Roger is survived by his children Sandra (Paul) Ross; Jeffrey (Sherry) Long; Pamela (Tim) Secrest; and Roger Michael Long. He also leaves behind his sister, Donna Logsdon; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Altmeyer's. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Moundsville.
