Ruth Marie (Zoc) Reith, 94, resident of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Monday September 16, 2024 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born in Yorkville, OH on March 29, 1930, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Gorzut) Zoc.
Ruth was a graduate of Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing and worked at Wheeling Hospital for 45 years. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, Greeter and was Past President of Corpus Christi School PTG.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, George C. Reith; infant sister Josephine; brothers, Joe and Fred Zoc and niece, Nancy Stenger.
Ruth is survived by her son, George A. Reith (Linda); daughter, Ruthann Miller (Scott); 4 grandchildren, Jason Miller (Erica), Dr. Brian Miller (Danielle), Amanda Hogan (Matthew) and Major Chris A. Reith (Krista); 7 great-grand children, Alessia Miller, Arabella Miller, Adriana Miller, Teagan Miller, Deklan Miller, Levi Reith and Camden Reith; several step-grandchildren and a step-great-grand daughter; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mercer and all the staff at 3 South for all the loving care that was provided for our Mother.
Friends will be received on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 10 am until 11:30 am at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2722) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1508 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling.
Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum
