NORA AUTEN
Nora Sharleen Auten, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, at WVU Reynolds Hospital. Born on December 27, 1952, in Belmont County, Ohio she lived a life committed to caring for others. She was 71 years old.
Nora dedicated her professional life to serving as a Registered Nurse at East Ohio Regional Hospital and Ohio Valley Medical Center, where she touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues with her compassion and dedication.
Nora is preceded in death by her loving parents, James (Annabelle) Kadlecek. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Cristiana (Rick) Helm of Copley, Ohio; her sister-in-law, Michelle (Dan) DeCrease, of Wheeling, West Virginia; and her brother, James H. (Darla) Kadlecek, of Carrollton, Ohio and two special nieces. Nora’s closest friends include her best friend, Janet Sheets, and her special next-door neighbors, Mike (Brittany) DeCrease, who were always there to offer love and support.
Family and friends will gather to remember Nora with a memorial service Saturday, October 19 at 1 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel in Moundsville.
