PHILLIP NODURFT
Phillip Noah Nodurft, 94, of Wheeling, WV, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
Born July 28, 1930 in Lyons, KS, he was the son of the late Claude Edward and Mary Pearl Olivier Nodurft.
He graduated from Wheeling Central Catholic High School in 1948, then served in the U.S. Air Force until 1952.
A hard worker, Phillip worked several jobs, but particularly enjoyed his time working for the Delta Queen Steamboat Company as a Junior Engineer, and as a handyman in his retirement years.
His faith as a Christian was very important to him. He was a member of Relevant Worship Center.
Phillip is survived by his children, David (Patricia), Patrice (late Robert) Drake, Michael (Sandi), Timothy Rockcress (Beth), Gregory (MiMi), Catherine (late Mark) Massimiani, Joseph (Jiyeong), and Christopher (Joy); a sister, Germain “Geri” Theroux; his fiance, Sondra Jamison; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death are his son, Philip; brothers, Joseph, Claude “Tim”, Ralph “Jim”, Jean, and Michael; sister, Rosemary Kirksey; and former wife, Jeanette Kiger.
Phillip has donated his body to the WVU Human Gift Registry and, honoring his wishes, there will be no public service.
