Yvonne Sandra "Bonnie" Mechling, 88 of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Golden Oaks Personal Care in Follansbee, WV.
Bonnie was born on September 30, 1936, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Jane (Heedy) Hudson. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold Daine Mechling; and one brother Bill Hudson.
Bonnie graduated from Sistersville High School. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wellsburg, WV. She worked as a beautician out of her own home and made many women feel beautiful by doing their hair. She was a good cook and had a love for reading, watching tv, and McDonalds coffee. She also enjoyed driving around with her dog and people watching in her spare time.
She is survived by a son, Scott (Dianna) Mechling of Moorefield, WV, and a daughter, Jolynn Mechling-Neff (Anthony) of Wellsburg, WV; two granddaughters, Francesca and Grace; one brother James (Cindy) Hudson; and one sister, Jackie (Vaughn) Suhodolski, both of Moundsville, WV.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and again on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral liturgy of the word at 10:00 am with Father Justin Golna officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.
Interment will follow at St. John Haven of Rest Cemetery in Colliers, WV.
