ANNA MARIE SAUNDERS

She was born February 5, 1934 in Carlisle, PA daughter of the late George Hale and Leatha Rouse Hale Shrodes.

She was a former member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church and the Elm Grove and Bridgeport Eagles. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, spending time with her friends at the Elm Grove Eagles and attending Jamboree in the Hills. She was an avid WVU and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Ann loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Time with them at the beach was extra special to her.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Paul and Richard Hale; one sister: Dolores “Dee” Stan and a grandson: Corey Jack McAdams.

Survivors include two sons: Greg Saunders and Walt (Stephanie Grove) Saunders and one daughter: Jody (Bob) McAdams all of Wheeling; one brother: George (Vi) Hale of Colerain, OH; five grandchildren: Dustin (Emily McKee) McAdams, Hannah, Laral (Brady Arnold), Ronnie and Kailynn Saunders and several nieces and nephews including Darlene (Denny) Lodge.

Per Ann’s wishes private services and interment will held at the convenience of the family.

Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

Everyone who remembers Ann is asked to celebrate her life by raising a glass of their favorite drink in her memory.
