SANDRA WINKLER
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Kay Winkler, 81, of Wheeling, WV. She passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Continuous Care Center Wheeling Hospital.
Sandy was born October 4, 1943, daughter of the late Tony and Mildred Sutton Winkler.
She was a graduate of Wheeling High School and retired from the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center.
She was a mother, grandmother and friend. She found great pleasure in making people laugh, reading and sitting in a lawn chair soaking up the sun.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” John Winkler.
Sandy deeply loved her two daughters, Tracie Leithe Spencer and Hollie (George “Moose”) Strauss. Her great sense of humor and sharp wit were appreciated by those around her. These gifts are carried on by her daughters and beloved granddaughters, Alexandra Noel Spencer and Kelsey Joan Spencer.
Per Sandy’s request, there will be no visitation or services.
