Beverly Louise Madl, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, at the age of 88, at Harmony Collections at Roanoke – Memory Care in Roanoke, VA. Born on March 20, 1936, in Wheeling, WV, Beverly lived a life of dedication, service, and unwavering faith.
Beverly spent her career as an administrative assistant with various agencies through Family Service – Upper Ohio Valley.
Her commitment to her work and the community she served was a testament to her strong work ethic and compassionate nature.
A devout Catholic, Beverly was a former member of St. Michael Catholic Church Christian Mothers, where her faith continued to be a guiding light in her life. She found strength and comfort in her beliefs and shared that spirit with those around her.
Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph F. and Agnes E. (Kemna) Madl, her brother Donald Madl, her sister-in-law, Patricia Madl; and her great aunts, Mary Jepson and Ann (Robert) Schlupe. Her memory will live on through her devoted son, David J. (Judy) Burkle of Roanoke, VA; her loving brother, Jim (Dottie) Madl of Columbus, OH; her dear sister, Patricia (Charles) Wagner of Wheeling, WV; her cherished grandchildren, Laura and Jack Burkle; and her niece, Charlene Kirkpatrick. Each of these individuals held a special place in Beverly's heart.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 9:30-10:30 AM at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, and conclude with a Committal Service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Bishop's Chapel.
