DONALD KLUG

Donald Louis Klug, a lifelong resident of Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at Wheeling Hospital. Born on March 13, 1941, in Wheeling, he lived a full life of 83 years, dedicated to his family, faith, and community.

Don was known for his commitment to helping others through his work as a Supervisor for WorkForce West Virginia.

A devout Catholic, Don was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, where he drew strength and solace from his faith. His commitment to his church community was unwavering and served as a testament to his strong beliefs.

Don was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Louis and Christine (Quinn) Klug; his loving wife, Carol Ann Klug; his son, Brian Klug; and his brother, Terrance Klug. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Julie (Rob) Wickham of Wheeling, Bruce (Jennifer) Klug of Fleetwood, PA, and Stephen (Raquel) Klug of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Chloe Wickham, Sarah Wickham, Sierra Klug, and Logan Klug; brother, Ronald Klug; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, at 11 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Ron Prechtl as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
