Judith Maxine Shumate, 81, passed away on December 23, 2024. Born on September 24, 1943, in Mullens, West Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of the late MacMurray Shumate and Helen Shriver Shumate.
Judith's vibrant personality and sense of humor were her hallmarks. She was a firecracker who brought joy and laughter wherever she went, brightening the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her unwavering love for her family and her quick wit made her truly unforgettable.
She is survived by her fostered heir, Justin Misenhelder, and his family, who lovingly embraced Judith as one of their own; her sister, Patricia Shumate Barger, and brother-in-law, Jack Barger; her niece, Brooke Barger; her nephews, Phillip and Jeff Barger; and her great-niece, Sarah Barger. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Benjamin Shumate.
