Rose Marie (West) Thomas, 69, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away on December 25, 2024, at WVU Medicine, Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown West Virginia.
Born on May 22, 1955 in Shadyside, Ohio, a daughter of the late Russell Wayne and Eileen Seevers West.
Rose Marie was a cherished homemaker, dedicating her time to creating a warm and loving environment for her family. Her time was filled with love and joy, particularly through her devotion to spending time with her grandchildren, an activity she treasured dearly.
She was a Christian by Faith and former member of the South Bellaire Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Oliver Thomas.
She is survived by her children; Heather Dippel, Wesley Thomas and Valerie Thomas, siblings; Richard West and Sharon West, grandchildren; Marissa (Jesse) Coen, Abbigail and Alexandria Dippel, Jerry Jr. and Keira Jarman, Joseph, William, Austin and Hunter Thomas, as well as 5 great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 4-7pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside and again on Monday December 30, 2024 from 11am until time of funeral service at 12:30pm. Interment to follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
